Margaret Zanel is Vice President of Commercial Excellence, Canadian Go-To-Market Unit (GTMU), and is responsible for strategic and integrated business planning. In addition, Margaret leads the Canadian go-to-market activities as part of the North American Commercial Excellence organization. This includes product/solution/services marketing, sales excellence, coverage/compensation strategy and deployment, marketing communications, demand generation and bid support. She also leads the national production colour solutions strategy, the centralized sales operations function and the Canadian philanthropy program.
Prior to this role, Margaret was Vice President, Strategy and Business Transformation, and led Xerox Canada’s strategy program management office and planning process. She was also responsible for transformational initiatives aimed at improving top and bottom line growth. Initiatives ranged from go-to-market strategy development, acquisitions, ERP deployment, change management, organizational design, and client retention.
Margaret has over 20 years of experience at both multi-national and start-up companies in the areas of strategy, marketing operations, sales, and business transformation. She is recognized as a transformational thought-leader who can drive change to enable business simplification and growth. She consistently moves organizations forward to respond successfully to volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity with a pragmatic approach to achieving the best results.
Margaret holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree and a MBA in international business from McMaster University.
