TORONTO, ON - Xerox Canada today announced the availability of three of its newest digital production presses: the Xerox iGen4™, 700 Digital Production Press, and the DocuColor 5000AP, all launched in May of this year at drupa, in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The products are available immediately for order taking in Canada, at the following list prices:
  • digital production press: $574,500
  • iGen4 700 Digital Production Press: $67,494
  • DocuColor 5000AP: $120,000
According to estimates by InfoTrends, a leading independent research firm, Xerox is the leader in colour page volume, with 50 percent of the total colour production pages worldwide printed on Xerox DocuColor and iGen3 presses - more than two times the page volume of its closest competitor.

In 2007 Xerox Canada doubled its iGen3 sales from the previous year, adding to Xerox's long list of achievements in the global digital printing market, which include:
  • Xerox Canada currently has the largest iGen3 installation in North America with Data Business Forms, who purchased nine units in 2007
  • More than 2,000 iGen3 presses have been installed worldwide
  • 275 customers have two or more iGen3 presses
  • 126 customers worldwide now print 1 million or more pages per month, per iGen3 press
"At Xerox, customer success is our success," said Tom Oldfield, vice president, Graphic Communications, Xerox Canada. "The enthusiasm surrounding our digital printing products continues to build as we add applications that drive high page volume growth and improve our customers' value proposition to their customers. I believe 2007 was the tipping point of the digital print market in Canada, and 2008 has been a strong follow up to last year's phenomenal growth."

Canadian installations for all three products begin September 15, 2008.
