TORONTO, ON – For less than the cost of one front-row ticket to a Rolling Stones concert, small businesses can invest in something worth a whole lot more for their future – the latest high-quality colour laser printer/multifunction printer from Xerox Canada.

Xerox continues to expand its line of products for small businesses and today launched two low-cost printers:
  • The Phaser 6110 desktop colour laser printer and multifunction printer designed as a replacement for businesses inkjet printers and all-in-one devices that require costly supplies.

  • The Phaser 3124 compact black-and-white laser printer that offers fast, high quality printing.
The Phaser 6110 is Xerox’s most affordable desktop colour laser printer/MFP with a starting price of $299*. It prints up to four pages per minute (ppm) in colour and 17 ppm in black and white at a print resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi. With high-quality colour laser printing, the Phaser 6110 helps small businesses create everything from sales proposals and presentations to promotional brochures. The colour printer also features fan-free technology, making it quiet and non-disruptive in a small office setting.

“Small businesses increasingly want to add colour to their documents, but they’re frustrated with slow inkjet devices and costly supplies," said Ajay Dhingra, vice president, Canadian Reseller Operations, Xerox Canada. “Now they can print high-quality documents at a price they can afford.”

The Phaser 6110 comes in four configurations. Customers can choose between a direct connect or a network-ready printer starting at $299* or two multifunction models starting at $689*. One multifunction model includes colour copying and scanning, and the other is an advanced MFP model with fax capabilities. Weighing only 45 pounds, the Phaser 6110 MFP is one of the smallest and lightest colour laser MFPs on the market.

Powerful multifunction features include a 50-sheet automatic document feeder and colour scan to network, e-mail, and PC. There is front-panel access to the USB port for direct printing from a USB memory device. Other advanced features include Nuance PaperPort software, which converts scanned documents into editable files, and ID Card Copy, which enables customers to copy both sides of a document onto one page – a feature that is essential for medical and healthcare organizations that want to cut the quantity of steps involved in creating patient files and save paper.

For small offices that need fast printing on a budget, the Xerox Phaser 3124 black-and-white laser printer priced at $159* prints up to 25 ppm, has a warm-up time of less than 15 seconds, and can print the first page in less than nine seconds. In addition, it comes with a 250-sheet paper tray to deliver quick printing without interruption. The Phaser 3124 has a resolution of up to 1200 dpi enhanced image quality and prints on a wide range of media types, including envelopes, labels, transparencies, and cardstock.

Both the Xerox Phaser 6110 and Phaser 3124 support complex print jobs such as booklet printing, watermarks and N-up printing, which enables customers to print up to four pages on one letter-sized page, saving money and paper. In addition, both printers can be installed in four clicks, helping small businesses start printing in a matter of minutes.

The Phaser 6110 and Phaser 3124 are ENERGY STAR compliant and come with the Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee.
