TORONTO, ON., Jan. 16, 2014 – Xerox Canada continued to strengthen its graphic communications operations today with the appointment of Chris Connor to the newly created role of managing director, Graphic Communications. Connor will focus on expanding Xerox Canada’s presence in the high-end solutions market, while giving customers more access to competitive and profitable iGen®, and continuous feed inkjet solutions.

As traditional print companies look for innovative ways to differentiate themselves and increase their profits, the market demand for one-stop shop providers that can offer a breadth of solutions – such as cross-media marketing – is increasing. With this change in dynamics, Xerox Canada is poised to bring unique value to the graphic communications market through a combination of production engines, workflow software and support services that will help print providers improve efficiency and productivity as well as lower costs.

“Chris’s primary goal will be to focus on helping our graphic communications customers grow their business,” said John Corley, senior vice president and general manager, Xerox Canada. “Chris’s breadth of experience, his access to and relationships with the broader Xerox Corporation and deep industry knowledge, will serve him and the market well. We are fortunate to have a person of Chris’s caliber leading this important operation.”

Connor most recently served as the director of high-end digital printing solutions. He joined Xerox in 1980 and most of his career has been in various sales and marketing management roles, exclusively focused on the production solutions market. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Connor was at the forefront of launching new digital technology into the world of production print in Canada.

He is a member of the Digital Imaging Association (DIA), the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) and the Canadian Packaging Association (CPA) and is a Computer Science Graduate from Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
